Dongguan Trip- 5th day
The last day: Time flies and it’s already the last day. We left quite early in the morning at around 10 pm. We were all very sad to bid farewell to one another. My first few tears in these months nearly rolled down my cheek but I controlled myself. Many students, both Singaporeans and Taiwanese buddies cried. While the bus was leaving, a few of the Dongguan pupils ran along with the bus. It was very touching.
We went to the Science and Technology museum. There were many advanced and exciting electronics games. I played the games so excitedly that I forgot to take any photos there.
Then we went for lunch. Our teacher asked us to pay for the food on our own. The food was nice though I nearly spent over 50RMB. After that, we went to the airport. I bought some more souvenirs and went back home.
Upon arriving in Singapore, I was happy to see my parents but sad as well, as I missed my friends in Dongguan.
It was indeed an unforgettable and fulfilling trip!

Dongguan Trip- 4th day
Fourth day: It rained like crazy today. In the morning after breakfast, we headed for the bus to the Dongguan Exhibition Centre. It was very interesting. I learnt about China’s history and most of the meanings of people’s surname.
After the event, we headed for lunch. We ate at McDonalds and I was surprised that the McDonalds in China was different compared to Singapore. Not only are the prices different but the food were different too.
Sadly after we had eaten, it started to rain heavier. The teacher opened the door and said, “Hope you enjoy your time in the rain!” At first we were puzzled, but when we realized what she meant, we dashed for the bus.
When we reached the school, we went to the music room to rehearse for the night’s performance. We came out of the music room with a furious teacher, because we were so soft that from where the teacher stood, she could barely hear us.
Then, after all the scolding, we headed for their campsite called Life Camp!
The teambuilding activities were very fun. Though we only did two activities due to the rain, it was still worth it.
After the activities in the camp, we went back to the school to have swimming lessons. Again, it was fun. I raced with my Taiwanese friend called Edward. Although I lost, I was only a few cm slower than him. I also raced with my other friends.
After one whole day, it was finally the performance. The Lasallians made a few mistakes, but luckily no one noticed. There were many other Taiwanese performers. They are really talented. We were impressed. After the performance, we went to sleep.

Dongguan Trip- 3rd day
Third day: I woke up in the morning, brushed my teeth and gathered outside the hostel. Ethan had to remind me to fold my blanket. We had to mop the room before leaving for morning exercise. A teacher brought us to the track to have our 800m jog. Then we went for breakfast. After the scrumptious meal, we went for classes.
One unique thing about Chinese schools… after every lesson, the students are given 10 minutes break. They can do whatever they like, such as chit chat or walking around. There was no prefect nor monitor to book the students.
After a few lessons, the teacher brought us to the basketball court to play basketball for Health Lesson!
“Ok! It’s time for lunch!” said the teacher. So, we gathered together and headed for the canteen. After lunch, we gathered at the main hall for a trip to the LED Factory.
It was an eye-opening trip. We had to wrap plastics onto our shoes to prevent germs from entering the factory. I also learnt that LED light doesn’t heat up that that easily and they are energy saving. We received a special lighted lollipop each! We all looked funny when we lit up while sucking the lollipop.
Next, we had a fun time in the restaurant. To finish the food, we played games where the losers had to gobble up the leftovers. Then, our teacher brought us to a shopping mall. There, I bought some souvenirs for my family. My buddies went to buy snacks like chewing gum and others. After all this excitement, it was head back to school and sleep.

Dongguan Trip- 2nd day
Second day: We woke up early in the morning, a little too early, I guess. I felt bored, so I opened my room door and walked outside. I found my friends outside talking to one another, so I joined in the chat. Alright, in the end we got a scolding for opening the door at the hotel and talking to friends.
After breakfast, we headed for the Dongguan Taiwanese School! We shook hands with the principals when we alighted from the bus. They escorted us to a room where all our partners were standing in a two straight rows- one row of girls and one row of boys, who warmly welcomed us. I met Ethan, my buddy, who stayed in my house last September. Luckily he could recognise me!
Then, we had a briefing on what to do and what not to do.
Our buddies escorted us to their hostels. I was pleasantly surprised to see my room. Although it was small, it was nice, clean and cosy. The beds were quite comfortable.
After that, we had a tour around the school, before proceeding to a buffet lunch at the school canteen. After lunch, I thought the pupils were supposed to study or something, but actually, they were supposed to take a nap! Unfortunately I could not sleep as I was not used to it.
After Ethan had his nap for an hour, we proceeded for lessons. I did not understand the lessons in Chinese, but luckily Science was taught in English. For dinner, we went to the lounge instead of canteen. There, we had a chat in the karaoke room with one of the principals. After that, we went to sleep.

My Dongguan Trip- 1st day
First Day: We met at the airport at 5.55am. That was so early!
After a briefing and prayer by our Principal, 20 students and 3 teachers boarded the plane excitedly. The flight was about 4 hours, I think. Upon arrival, we went to eat lunch. The food was delicious! There was this cup with water which looked like tea, so I nearly drank it, but “the tea” was actually water to wash the cup!
Then we took a 1 hour 30minutes ride to the Science and Technology museum. Due to the long journey, there was not much time to tour the museum before it closed, so we went shopping instead.
There was not much to buy in the first mall. It was mainly girls’ things, so we played in the arcade. We went to Walmart and I bought a lot of snacks. I nearly bought a can of red bull but my teacher didn’t allow it.
Later, we went for dinner. I was not all that thrilled with dinner because I had a stomachache. I think I was car-sick due to the long journey on the coach.
After eating, we went to the hotel. It was magnificently beautiful. Then we had our rehearsal for performance in Madam Toh’s room, before going to sleep.

Why Why Why!!!
Why is it that whenever you do something kind, you get punished? Well, that's what always happening to me. :( .
One recent incident... Well, there I was doing my work quietly, and then my friend asked me to help him in his spelling, and of course that involved talking. Sooooooooooooooooooo, half way during my friend's spelling , I heard my teacher shouting at me, saying "Fabien, OUT!!"
Secondly, I was helping my friend by taking the ball for them and passing it back, but what did I get in return? A scolding from stupid Primany Sixes!! SIGH!

What Happened?
If you are asking what happened to my blog, long story... Ask me in school if you are my schoolmate.
Anyway, on with my day. As usual nothing exciting happened. Messed up part of my speech yesterday and had a fun time at the traffic games, but stupidly we only got to be pedestrains.
I wish I could drive the cart or at least ride a bicycle. I am so upset. I have got nothing to say now.
Question on Greek Gods: What is the name of the titan who carried the sky?

Confusion
I am so confused. I don't know what to do about the p6 during soccer if they don't let us play. Should I beat them up or just let them go? And on my confusion between Scouts and Prefect activities, both on 22May. Which activity should I go to?? The Lasallian Leaders Camp or Scouts Rally?
Tell you what.... why don't you decide for me? Advise me using the c-box thanks!
Now the question on Greek God: Is a centaur's blood normal or poisonous?

Just another day
It is normal a day today. I have nothing to do, absolutely nothing to do. I just lazed around and did school homework. Today is really a boring normal day.
Anyway, Monday is a big day: we (singa project members) are going to announce the winners for the poster competition. So excited! Anyway, I have nothing else to say.
Now the question on Greek Gods:Who was Percy Jackson named after and who is his father?

Injection
Today I had injection in school. It was a great experience! Two jabs, one on left and one on right arm. I think the first one probably made me drowsy because I nearly fell asleep during my first jab, until my friends startled me.
The second jab felt like a mechanical pencil poking on my skin, which wasn't that painful. We had to take a few drops of liquid medicine which tasted bitter initially. Strangely, the taste turned really sweet when I drank water.
Question on greek gods: Who is the son of Hades? (Hint: Related to Percy Jacksons series). Answer using c-box.

Crazy with Greek Mythology
Hi, sorry for not blogging for a long time. Does anyone know how to create a C-box? Please teach me.
Anyway, I am now crazy over Greek Mythology.
I can memorise a few Greek gods such as:
Zeus, the god of heaven and earth;
Poisedon, god of the water;
Hades, lord of the dead;
Apollo, the god of prophecy;
Artemis, the god huntress;
Hera, Zeus's Wife;
Athena, god of wisdom and battle strategy;
Aphrodite, god of beauty and love; and many more.
I will give clues on some gods on my blog. Try to guess them by commenting. That's all I can say for now till tomorrow!

OBS-Outward Bound Singapore
Hi! Sorry that I had not been blogging for days. Actually, I have been away for camp. Sadly, it was raining most of the time. Luckily when the rain stopped, we managed to continue our activities. The first activity was supposed to be rope course challange-RCC. However, due to the rain, it was replaced by Absailing practice.
The next day, our activities were held in OBS at Pulau Ubin. It rocks! We started with Tri-Yaking. While we were at sea, we tried to form a raft by gathering all our tri-yaks together.
It was successful!! We stood on our tri-yaks and sang our school song majestically. Since we ended early, we got to go jetty jumping. It was really fun for me, but one girl was frightened to tears.
I will skip the description of our trekking, but I will tell you about the part that my group lost our way... Do you believe it... We saw 11 wild boars hiding in the forest, along our track!!!
Next, we went for the scary Night Walk. Many of us were scared, but it was actually very exciting.
On the third day, there was barely any activity, except souvenir shopping. I bought a black cap and black OBS t-shirt which I have always wanted.
That's all I have for now. Bye!

Exciting fun day
Today is the most exciting day of the week. In the morning I went to the park with my friends to play games. We played iceman, dog and bone, ice and freeze, soccer etc. In the afternoon, I went to my friend Wenxin's birthday party at Lot One. We gathered at Pizza Hut and ate lunch. After the scrumptious meal, we went to the arcade and played a lot of games until my piano lesson interrupted me. I will never forget this day.

Percy Jackson And The Lightning Thief
Everyone must watch Percy Jackson. It rocks!!! There were many Gods in the movie. One example is my favourite "god": Poseidon. Percy is the son of Poseidon. They were on a quest to convince Zeus that Percy is not the lightning thief. However, it was not easy. They had to find three pearls since Percy's mother was captured by the devil. They must find the lightning bolt or else his mother would die. Furthermore, they had to fight Madusa and Hydra. I will stop here. In case you have not watched the movie, here's a picture of Madusa.

The Sunday Times-eye on the water
This article talks about the helicopter (S-70B) and its sister, another S-70B, on how they scan the ocean for submarines. It's a search and destroy project. The project will end next Monday and we might get to see these helicopters roaming around. Let me give you a picture of how the helicopter looks like. Let's hope we will get to see it.
Scouts' Job Week
This job week is the easiest for all these years . I earned $33 but almost did nothing. I only did one real job. I washed my neighbour's car. It was quite easy since I only just had to clean the interior of the car.

Road Run
*Huff**puff* *pant* *pant* *pant* finally! The run is over! I was 4th among my schoolmates and about 12th or 13th position among the rest of the schools, including the adults. In case you are not in one of the Lasallian schools and do not know about the Road Run, I would tell you about it. The school organises Road Run once every 2 years for the upper primary and Secondary students from Lasallian Schools. It is a fund-raising activity. It is my first year participating and I am happy to be 4th in my school, but too bad there is no prize.

Today- Drama, tears and shouts at Jack Neo's press conference
I read this article today about Jack Neo's press conference. His wife forgave him and they could carry on with their life peacefully if the media could stop harassing them. If you didn't know, Jack cheated on his wife. I pity their children. If the parents fight, they might lead to a divorce and the children will either not see their mother or father regularly. It is very embarrassing to see such incident, so let's hope our parents won't cheat on each other .

ST- Foreign-born teen scores for S'pore (10/03/10)
I read the newspaper today with an interesting article. It talks about foreign kids doing well for exams while Singapore-born kids are lacking behind, but this dosen't mean we must grumble. According to the article, we should be happy that these foriegn kids are doing well because it shows that Singapore's education system is working very well to have attracted many foreigners, and that Singapore has added value to these children.
I think the foreign-born students work much harder than us. They are more focus and less distracted. My classmate Xiao Ying is an example. She works harder than anyone of us and I think she can top the class. I should learn her good attitude and work on my weakness.
